Faithful Friends of CEF Durham: Wait upon the Lord and He will renew your

God and He will draw near to you... These Words of God are
a present reality to us in the Durham Area Chapter. Through your
faithful prayers, He is making all things good.

New! Regarding
your prayers for CEF reaching urban kids for Christ...
Resources for under served residents living
in the top10 under resourced Durham communities are being developed.
Funding has been received for local summer missions and for printing an evangelistic booklet called HiSStory. The
booklet will be distributed to every child reached this summer and kids of
prisoners enrolled in the More Than Gold sports camps and the CEF Mailbox
Club. HiSStory will incorporates the 7MIT and song written by John & Sean Blake.
Prayer needed through June:
1.
For children attending Good News Clubs and after school programs, who will
suddenly have little to do when the school year ends
2. For students being trained for summer missions at the Urban Center of Light
3. For churches in Alamance, Granville, Orange, and Vance counties partnering
with CEF in new
ministry to unchurched children and families this summer
4. That funding will be received ($40K) for 3 young/multi-ethnic staff and a 3 week summer missions
trip to Chicago
5. For concerned city officials to have boldness in asking that CEF and
other Christian-based programs be re-instated into the public sector
and schools
