More Than Gold sports camps and clinics were established in 1996 to build solid sports skills and strong Christian character.  Basketball was the first sport used for this purpose.  After 10 years, there have been soccer, baseball, wrestling, and all-sports camps/clinics in multiple states, foreign countries, and across North Carolina. More Than Gold is also a Gospel ministry resource for Upward, Junior Prep Stars, Salvation Army, and others conducting sports programs for children and youth.

Gym courts, fields, and black tops are common sites for MTG Sportsreach camps and clinics. Campers (7-14 years old) have attended half-day and full-day camps and clinics at churches, schools, parks, and street corners for the past 10 years. Cross training, Today's Heroes, contests, and team play highlight all camps and clinics sponsored by CEF Ministries of North Carolina.
