CEF Durham provides access to various types of summer camps in Durham as well as at other times of the year… See: Camps for City Kids. We also advocate and encourage a week at CEF of North Carolina’s Camp Good News near Asheville, N.C. Camp Good News® is a 15-acre non-denominational Christian camp nestled in the Great Smoky Mountains near Asheville, NC, with many area attractions like the Blue Ridge Parkway, Chimney Rock, and the Biltmore Estate are just minutes away. Camp Good News does not charge tuition for campers to come to summer camp. We are a faith based ministry funded by God’s people. Summer camps are held for 6 separate focus weeks during summers annually. Here is the Camp Good News schedule for the summer of 2021:

  • Teen Boys ages 13-16: June 27-July 2
  • Middle Boys ages 10-12: July 4-9
  • Junior Boys ages 7-9: July 11-16
  • Teen Girls ages 13-16: July 18-23
  • Middle Girls ages 10-12: July 25-30
  • Junior Girls ages 7-9: August 1-6
